As a Structural draftsperson you are responsible for producing precise and accurate technical drawings, blueprints, and plans that serve as the foundation for successful projects. They will be responsible for modelling and documentation of Australia’s civil & water Infrastructure major construction project.
Job Description
- Her/His role is responsible for modelling and documentation of Australia’s civil & water Infrastructure major construction project.
- You will interact directly with onsite engineering team and internal stakeholders to determine and solve customer needs and ensure the accurate supply of 3D models and drawings for the project, in terms of time and quality.
- Playing a vital role support within the design team, you will apply your skills in delivery of design and documentation updates across a variety of disciplines in Civil & Water Infrastructure.
- Provide coordination and assistance in the production of design documentation using mainly Civil 3D, for civil and water projects. Additional knowledge in Revit and BIM360 would be an asset.
- Ensuring project design and documentation complies with client design and drafting standards.
Requirements
- A high knowledge of AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, and a standard background in Civil3D and other BIM tools, and 5 years of work experience. Added value is acquired if the experience has been gained in BIM projects in the infrastructure field (roads, tunnels, hydraulics).
- Capability of the creation of a Structural/MEP model from 2D sections and plans in dwg or from scratch.
- Capability to use elements/blocks/families yet existing in the BIM library and the use of naming system according to company/project standards.
- Capability to update, whether Structural/MEP 3D models and drawings according to on-site requirements.
- Capability to extract drawings directly from the model; know how to work with shared files (work-sharing).
