Bruxelles Mobilité continues its tunnel rehabilitation project

Following the refurbishment of the Porte de Hall tunnel and the upcoming work on the Belliard-Loi tunnel, Bruxelles Mobilité has now prioritized the rehabilitation of the Cinquantenaire tunnel.
This nearly 650-meter-long twin-tube tunnel, heavily trafficked and running beneath the iconic Parc du Cinquantenaire, dates back to 1974 and requires a safety overhaul.
Lombardi Ingénierie, as part of an engineering joint venture, is responsible for the design and supervision of works in several key areas:
- Electrical design,
- Comprehensive equipment studies,
- Ventilation and smoke extraction design,
- Fire protection design, including metalwork
- Management of operational interfaces, encompassing the drafting of the Preliminary Safety File and the Site Operations File.
This project exemplifies the multidisciplinary nature of our business skills, showcasing the expertise within both the Lombardi Group as a whole and the various divisions of Lombardi Ingénierie.
