Project management for the development of public spaces

The project transforms, rather than demolishes, a complex urban infrastructure.

For the first time in France, a road interchange will be converted into a hanging garden, accessible for walking, sports and social life. The project also plans to create a park from existing green spaces that currently are inaccessible or seldom visited by walkers, in synergy with the new hanging garden, enhancing the pedestrian link between this complex and its environment.

This public space project is accompanied by the construction of the Hekla tower (80’000 m2 of office space), two student residences (lots B and F) and retail spaces (excluding the tower and residences).

Lombardi Ingénierie services:

As part of these operations, the Joint Venture has been assigned the project management from detailed project to the end of the work’s supervision and the handing over.

Within the Joint Venture, Lombardi Ingénierie is entrusted with the design and construction supervision of existing structures and new ones.

The mission includes

• Technical support of the urban design teams to validate the technical feasibility of the project,
• Verify the compatibility of the planned layout with the existing engineering structures, including two longitudinally and transversely prestressed structures,
• Design of the civil engineering structures, some of which are interfaced with the railway or national road network,
• Drafting railway safety dossiers (IG94589 et IG90033),
• Taking the human environment and the nuisances generated into account in the design, methods and work phases.
