We are seeking an experienced Hydropower Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of hydropower projects in Australia. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale hydropower projects, with a strong understanding of engineering principles, project management methodologies, and regulatory requirements in the Australian context. 10
Job Description
- Lead the development and implementation of hydropower projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, construction, and regulatory compliance to ensure project objectives are met.
- Manage project resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize project performance and minimize risks. Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or obstacles, and implement corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on track.
- Collaborate with stakeholders including clients, government agencies, and local communities to foster positive relationships and address concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Prepare and present project status reports, forecasts, and other documentation to senior management and stakeholders as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil/mechanical engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred. 10-20 years of relevant experience in the hydropower industry with a focus on project management.
- Proven track record of successfully managing hydropower projects. Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction methodologies, and regulatory requirements related to hydropower projects in Australia.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to achieve project objectives.
- Experience with project management software and tools. Flexibility to travel as required for project meetings, site visits, and client interactions.
