Tunnel boring machine

The tunnel boring machine is named “Ida”. With a drilling head diameter of 10.5 meters, it is now ready to start in the assembly chamber West. At depths of up to 1’000 m below ground, it will drive the tunnel approximately 6 kilometers to the south.
